It's been 2 weeks already since I got back from Betong. Been very lazy to log in here & update.. haha. Anyway for those who have questions like 'was it hard? were the trainers strict? do they force you to do what you dun wan to do?' The answer is not really, quite ok & no. I think the trainers in Betong camp are more friendly & linient with us. They gave us lots of resting time so we could have a nap after lunch every day. That's why we didn't get to play wif the guns & rakit. We also didn't have enough time for obstacle competition between companies.

Ok, let's talk about the interesting things I did in there. Hmm.. Firstly, it was kinda surprising that they teach us juggling in class. I was terrible at that. Haha.. They teach us step by step, about 2 or 3 steps a day. So that took quite long.. I got food poisoning halfway through that & came home for treatment. That made me lost about 5kg since I kept vomiting & having diarrhea until I had no more energy left to climb the hill to my dorm.

I went back to camp on 24th Jan to hear that the others already went to play in the river. I missed out on that >.< Daddy said I got thin very drastically & it was scary. Haha... After that I did gain 1kg before coming home for CNY, but many people commented that I lost weight, so happy =P

On thursday & friday nights we have what they call 'kelas kerohanian', that's having activities according to our religion. These nights I'd join the Iban pastor who went to our camp. We do praise & worship in many languages except chinese, then listen to him preach. But that's usually my cue to sleep.

Then on sundays there'd be many buses waiting outside our camp early in the morning to bring us out to church or temple. Only for the non-muslims. That's the day I always looked forward to in the week because after that we're allowed to go shopping. I'd have breakfast with my frens, then shop for food. That was nice..

The classes were the most boring ever, especially the last modul, kenegaraan. The teacher kept catching me & asking me to talk so I either kept quiet or simply reply something. They ask the same question every day 'apa nilai dan pengajaran untuk kelas hari ini?' ZZZzzzzz.....

But the then modul also included community service. I was so excited because we get to get out of our 'jail' & play somewhere else. My group got to go out 3 times, once to the agricultural centre to help them clean up, & visit their goats, fish.. the 2nd time was to the police station in Saratok, just to listen to them talk & watch crime videos. At least that was more interesting than staying in the camp =P The 3rd time we went to SMK Spaoh to gotong-royong with them. My group was asked to clean their pond. I expected it to be big, so I had a good laugh with Esther when we reached there. It was small, with some fish swimming inside. The people started spraying the rocks with colours while some cleaned the stones inside. In the end dunno why the water level reduced, so we formed a line from the water supply to pass water inside the pond. It was hot, so we were all sweating even though we didn't do much.

We did at least 3 performances onstage all through the camp. That was interesting, since different groups had different ideas & talents. I was surprised to find that there were people who brought make-up & many beautiful clothes to camp. Michelle ever learnt how to do make-up so I let her do it on me. It wasn't obvious, so it seemed pointless =S

The events I loved most was when we played kayak. It rained when it was the turn for my group to play. So we were called back to camp from the river & told to play in the pond in the camp. No fun!! Besides that, we went to play flying fox. That was a great experience, flying through the air hanging onto a rope. Hehe.. We also went mountain climbing, played obstacle halfway.. The last activity was camping in the forest, actually it was just at the place where the obstacle course was held. It rained at 7 something that night so we were shooed back to camp. Too bad we didn't get to stay there for the night, it was fun =)

On the day we went back home, I saw many red eyes & people hugging each other. Wow... it's been less than 10 weeks but it seemed like more than that. We had been together through times when there's not enough water for everyone to bath, when we had to save electricity, when getting scolded by the trainers... It was so nice to live together, to have someone to play with just a few beds away, someone to go to the toilet with, either to bath or wash clothes.

So when I reached home, all the days in camp were just like a wonderful dream. But I realised that I changed since 29th Dec 2007. I'm more realistic & more daring to voice out my opinions. I realise that avoiding the problem doesn't solve it, we have to face it bravely, then it'll fade away. Different people have different personalities, so try to accept them as they are. But I'm afraid of those who could put a blade in my back & act like nothing happened. It's scary...

To my closer friends in camp, whether you can see this or not:
Xin Xin, thanks for being by my side & always waiting for me even when the others don't. Thanks for making me laugh like crazy even though it's just a small thing, & laughing with me when I was in crazy mode =)
Esther, the direct 1. Haha... Sometimes talking with you make me kek tiok, but you're fun to play with. And when it comes to food... You know la =P
Christina, the 1st 1 who knew my secret.. thanks for your listening ears, & waiting for me outside the toilet for so long while i was having diarrhea..
Jessica, miss sunshine smile. The 1 who brightens up my day =P
Amy, the quiet 1. But can be naughty at times.. haha
Daddy, the 1 who's always there to listen & help me whenever I need it. Thanks for your listening ears & the warmth you brought to my days in camp. You're the one who knew me for the longest time while we were in Betong, without you my life in camp would be different..
Apple, always meet you whenever I go to the toilet to brush my teeth or bath. Haha.. You were always in front of me in the line. I almost always see you eating when I go inside your room =S
Suk Jing the banana... Also always met at the toilet together with apple. Always call me 'mei nv' & play with me until very crazy.. Haha...
And to all others, thank you for the wonderful memories in camp. I had great fun! =)
